Who We Are

Youth Academics, Athletics & the Arts (YAAA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for children with special needs through athletics, educational enrichment, and creative expression. We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, play, build friendships, and experience the joy of belonging.

Whether through sports clinics, educational activities, or artistic programs, our goal is simple: help children develop confidence, make connections, and discover their potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Join us as we build a community where every child is valued, included, and encouraged to succeed.

What We Do

Athletics

Physical activity helps children build confidence, teamwork, coordination, and friendships. YAAA offers inclusive sports clinics and recreational programs designed to meet children where they are and celebrate every achievement.

Academics

Learning extends beyond the classroom. Our educational activities encourage curiosity, problem-solving, communication, and personal growth in a supportive environment.

The Arts

Creative expression allows children to explore their imagination, build confidence, and share their unique perspectives. Through art, music, and other creative activities, we help children discover new ways to learn and connect.

Our Story

YAAA was founded by Angela Jeter-Hall after seeing firsthand the positive impact that inclusive sports and community programs can have on children and families.

Inspired by years of involvement with Special Olympics and motivated by the experiences of her own family, Angela recognized a need for more opportunities specifically designed for younger children with special needs. While many programs serve older participants, families often struggle to find age-appropriate activities for elementary-aged children.

YAAA was created to bridge that gap by providing safe, welcoming, and engaging programs where children can participate, connect with others, and feel a true sense of belonging.

Every Child Belongs

At YAAA, we believe inclusion is more than participation—it is creating opportunities where every child feels welcomed, supported, and celebrated.

Together, we can build a stronger community where children with special needs have the chance to learn, play, create, and succeed.
